Sisters of Mercy Support the V Encuentro

The National Team of Accompaniment of the V Encuentro (ENAVE) is happy to announce that the Sisters of Mercy have donated $25,000 in support of the V Encuentro Process. We are incredibly grateful for their contribution! The Sisters of Mercy are an international community of Roman Catholic women who dedicate their lives to the Gospel of Jesus and take vows of poverty, chastity, obedience and service. Inspired by the life of Jesus and by their founder Catherine McAuley, they envision a just world for people who are poor, sick and uneducated. The Sisters of Mercy commit their lives to God and their resources to serve, advocate and pray for those in need around the world. The Sisters of Mercy work passionately to reduce poverty, violence and racism as well as the widespread denial of human rights, the degradation of Earth, the continued oppression of women, the abuse of children, the mistreatment of immigrants and the lack of solidarity among people and nations. They examine the root causes of these issues and promote systemic change in the communities in which they minister. The donation was made on behalf of all their communities in the United States including the South Central, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, West Midwest, New York, Pennsylvania, and Pacific West Communities and the Institute Office. 2016 © ENAVE.
