National Leadership Gathers in Dallas

On May 2-3, 2016, Chairpersons of the National Team and the Core Team gathered at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center for a brainstorming work meeting to draft a roadmap for the entire V Encuentro process that begins at the local level with small group sessions in the first half of 2017, leads up to the National Encuentro Event in September 2018, and is followed up with implementation of the consultation through 2020. The leadership reviewed the timeline and envisioned the steps leading up to and following the V Encuentro National Event.  They also explored the steps that will take place between the parish, diocesan, regional and national events, which will include the gathering and organizing of the information generated by the consultation thread of the V Encuentro process. Sr. Anna Marie, SSND facilitated the process and a first draft of this roadmap was generated with the assistance of the ENAVE members.

Oscar Carranza was introduced as the Event Coordinator for the National event.  Click here to learn about Oscar. Participants included Laureen Aguayo, Alejandro Aguilera-Titus, Carmen Aguinaco, Oscar Carranza, Santiago Cortes-Sjoberg, Peter Ductram, Dr. Patricia Jiménez, Fr. Hector Madrigal, Martha Maria Morales, Dr. Hosffman Ospino, Sr. Anna Marie Reha, Juan Rendon, Pedro Rubalcava, and Estela Villagrán Manancero. During the meeting, participants were given a tour of the Convention Center and the Gaylord Resort to become familiar with the meeting spaces and to help envision the national event.
