Meet Lynette Saenz

Lynette Saenz is the Director of Cultural Diversity in the Diocese of Rochester, New York, which includes Asian, Black, Deaf, and Hispanic Ministries. She is also the Director of the Instituto Pastoral Hispano at St. Bernard’s School of Theology & Ministry. Lynette also participates a Region 2 chair and research assistant for the V Encuentro.
Prior to this position, Lynette was the Associate Director of Research and Publications for the Instituto Fe y Vida. In this role, she coordinated the implementation of the national Catholic Latino Youth & Parents Project where she organized focus groups across the country to identify best practices in Hispanic youth ministry.
Lynette has also held positions as Pastoral Associate, Director of Faith Formation and Coordinator of Urban Youth Ministry.
Lynette has consulted on several national projects/initiatives such as NFCYM’s , Fe y Vida’s , and the American Bible Society’s . She has also had the privilege to serve as member of the National Advisory Council for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Lynette holds a Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin Wallace University, and a Master of Social Work degree from the State University of New York. Currently, she is working on a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from St. Bernard’s School of Theology & Ministry.
