Meet Luis Peña

Luis Pena graduated from the University of Fordham with a degree in History. Luis has also been a missionary with the Corazon Puro organization for over 6 years, a group dedicated to forming leaders, beginning with Latino youth and young adults, to bring about a Culture of Life. Inspired by the life and Theology of St. John Paul II, these leaders are equipped to become Christ-centered, pure of heart, joy-filled agents of change, in the city and out of the city, in this country and around the world. Currently Luis works as Outreach Coordinator and assistant to the Director for the Office of Hispanic Ministry for the Archdiocese of New York Luis is a member of the secretarial committee for the Region II Team, as well as for the Diocesan team for the archdiocese of New York. With other members of the Archdiocese of New York Luis visits with parishes and helps them kick off their V Encuentro process. Luis states,

“My Hope is that this V Encuentro infuses the Hispanic community, but in a special way the youth and young adults with fervor for the Lord that leads them to commitment and action within the church here in America.”
