José Luis (Pepe) Romero, grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico. He has been married since 1974 to Erika and they have 6 children. He has more than 30 years of experience in Church ministry. He has been a coordinator for evangelization teams; Pastoral coordinator for parish collaboration (pastoral en conjunto); a manager, administrator and Hispanic Coordinator of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. He has also served as a National Director for the United States and Member of the International Council of Schools of Evangelization San Andrés from 2006 to 2016.
He has studied Communication Sciences and taken diverse Bible courses (Introduction to the Bible, exegesis, hagiography, etc.). From 2004 to 2012 he took courses in Basic Theology, Moral Theology, Ecclesiology, Christology, Philosophy, History of the Church and Liturgy.
Pepe has preached and taught in Mexico, Europe and the United States of America on Evangelization, Leaders, Preaching, Teaching, Liturgy, Catechesis and Community. He is now a staff member of the Secretariat for Cultural Diversity in the Church as a Specialist in Hispanic Affairs.
As Specialist in Hispanic Affairs, Pepe must participate in all areas, informing, exhorting, motivating and linking Hispanic and Latino communities to participate in this historic moment in the United States Church- The V Encuentro!
