Meet Ivone Guillen

Ivone Guillen is the Catholic Social Teaching Education Coordinator for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Department of Justice, Peace, and Human Development. Ivone is a native of Washington State, where she served the Hispanic Latino immigrant community to foster community building and leadership development. She also served in numerous volunteer roles in her local parish. After completing her undergraduate studies at Gonzaga University, she moved to Washington, D.C., to work for Bread for the World as an Immigration Policy Fellow. Ivone then served on the staff of Sojourners, where she directed their immigration campaign and related communications efforts. Her experience and background include pastoral ministry, public policy, advocacy, and community organizing. She is in the process of completing her Masters of Public Administration at American University. Ivone is committed to working on social justice causes that promote equity and the common good. Ivone forms part of the national team for the V Encuentro. (ENAVE).
