Archdiocese of Newark On the Way

The Archdiocese of Newark is is already in full gear for the process of the V Encuentro. Some parishes began in Lent. Many others are currently offering the five sessions and consultation process with the objective of holding their Parish Encuentros at the end of June. The Archdiocese has had information sessions for priests, parish coordinators, and training sessions for all those preparing to be facilitators of small groups. The new Archbishop, Cardinal Jose Tobin has provided great support and has shown great interest in making this process a success in the Archdiocese. Deacon Asterio Velasco indicated,

There is a lot of enthusiasm and we expect thousands of participants from the different parishes that currently offer Hispanic ministry to engage in this beautiful process of encountering the Lord and our brothers and sisters.
