V Encuentro: A Church that goes forth!
Dear sisters and brothers,
What a great joy it was to share with many of you the experience of the Convocation of Catholic Leaders, held in Orlando in early July. This evangelizing event has given a great impetus to the V Encuentro. Many Catholic organizations now want to participate in the process of the V Encuentro, including universities, international ecclesial movements and religious orders. All are more than welcome to participate as missionary disciples in this process that is bearing abundant fruits of pastoral and personal conversion.
Hundreds of parishes have already celebrated their Parish Encuentros with abundant fruits, and thousands more are carrying out the process. There are also hundreds of parishes that will begin the process in the coming months. In addition, 384 parishes have started Hispanic ministry programs as a result of the Fifth Encuentro! We also have new materials for the parish Encuentros.
In this newsletter you will find the following news:
Bishop Luis Zarama has been appointed by Pope Francis as the new bishop of the Diocese of Raleigh. Congratulations, Monsignor Zarama!
Joseph Citro began his work as Development Director of the V Encuentro, and Mr.
Pepe Romero his work as Specialist of Hispanic Affairs for the Conference of Catholic Bishops of the United States. Welcome!
The Bishops have approved a second version of the Prayer of the V Encuentro.
The Association of Hispanic Sisters in the United States has changed its name after a discernment that renews its identity and mission. Now they are AHLMA: Asociación de Hermanas Latinas Misioneras en América. Congratulations on your constant pastoral conversion!
Monsignor Nelson Pérez will soon announce financial assistance for the regional teams of the V Encuentro.
Have a summer full of joy, spiritual growth, and reinvigorating rest. 2017 © ENAVE. All Rights Reserved.
