Blessings during this Lenten season! I am happy to announce that Laüreen Aguayo has been contracted as the National Coordinator of the V Encuentro. Laüreen strengthens our national team with her many talents and great enthusiasm. Please welcome her when she contacts you by phone, email or in person! I am also excited to announce Loyola Press as our new Padrino! We are deeply grateful to the leadership of Loyola Press, for placing their trust in us, and for their commitment to the vision and process of the V Encuentro. NFCYM also joins us as Compañeros of the V Encuentro. Their commitment will be key to engaging and forming Hispanic Catholic youth and young adults. Thank you! This newsletter also provides new resource, including a PowerPoint, to help you promote the V Encuentro and to form your diocesan teams. In the next few weeks, bishops will receive a letter inviting them to share the process and vision of the V Encuentro with their pastors. It is important that priests, especially parish pastors, obtain information about the V Encuentro as soon as possible so that they are ready to form their parish teams this fall.
